One of our resolutions this year was to travel more. This time we decided to head to the Belgian coast for the weekend.
Blankenberge is a fishing port and one of the most popular seaside resorts in Belgium. The major draws are the magnificent sandy beach, a great pier, a casino, and pedestrian streets.
Welcome to Blankenberge
Blankenberge surprised us in ways unimaginable.
We had a great time in the city, exploring the town which boasts lots of Art Nouveau facades.
The city has plenty of options for accommodation that caters to the needs of all types of travelers.
One of the highly recommended hotels in Blankenberge is the Hotel Mercure Blankenberge.
The fascinating thing about this hotel is that the train station is located right at the hotel. Getting around promises to be effortless when you book a stay at Hotel Mercure Blankenberge.
As we checked into the hotel, we felt immediately welcomed by the friendly staffs who are eager go over and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay, whether it be to hail a taxi or help with booking your next flight. The interior is superbly decorated and tasteful

More so, there are 3 options to choose from. They include superior room, family room, and privilege room.
All 64 rooms provide free Wi-Fi, refrigerators, air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs.
Other amenities include a hairdryer, a safe, mini bar, and free bottled water.
We checked into a privilege room on the fourth floor, precisely the last room of the hallway that linked the rooftop pool.
The luxurious room has a king-size bed, espresso machine, clean bathroom, a desk and chairs, chocolates and much more.
One of the most fascinating aspects of our room is its coziness.
When it comes to relaxation and hospitality, no other hotel does it better than Hotel Mercure Blankenberge.
The train station of Blankenberge has a direct connection to Brussels and Bruges.
One of the places we love the most is its heated rooftop pool. You can enjoy spectacular views of the city right from the top.
Since we stayed on the 4th floor, access to the rooftop pool is easy.
Also, there’s a modern, colorful lounge bar on the ground floor which boasts a wide range of drinks and wine.
Additional amenities include a business center and conference space.
Guests have a lot of choice for breakfast including pancakes, cereal, fruit, continental style meats, and a hot selection of food.
The popular time for breakfast was 9 am.
Breakfast is delicious, fresh and always served hot, depending on your food choice, of course.
Staffs made sure guests never run out. The staffs are a credit to the hotel
Another incredible thing that makes this hotel a hot cake for foreign visitors is its location.

Lots of shops and restaurant are within walking distance to the hotel.

It was worth the money.
